A time-based game measures how long it takes players or teams to complete the game. Count-Up Timer
When this setting is enabled, a count-up timer appears on the game map, starting at 0 and running continuously until the player or team finishes the game. The game admin can also manually end the match. The final completion time is then recorded and displayed both on the game map and in the app’s scoreboard.
In the CMS scoreboard, the game admin can choose to rank players based on:
- Best score, or
- Fastest completion time
This allows you to tailor the competition depending on whether performance or speed is more important.
Where to find this setting
You can enable this option under:
General Settings → Time-Based Game

Countdown timer (match setting):
There is a separate setting available when creating a match in the Game Control panel that allows you to use a count-down timer. It will also appear on the game's map.If this setting is enabled, the timer will count down instead of up.
If both settings are applied, the timer will count down during gameplay, while the total completion time will still be recorded and displayed in the scoreboard.
