We're going to take a look at one of the apps we've built with the Menu template. The app in question is the Vestmannaeyjar app, available on the App Store and Play Store. This app also has the addition of a Weather API on the front page, which is an added customisation. Contact your Locatify sales representative if you want to discuss adding something similar to your app.
Keep in mind that the titles and icons of these menu items are editable in the CMS. You can call them whatever fits your project or brand best, and use any icon of your choosing.
Let's begin by clicking on Map on the front page. It takes us to a map of the area, showing both map markers (blue custom icons), and pins representing tours. These pins can also be customised.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Clicking on Guides and Places takes us to a grid showing the different projects.
Here we see tours but also map markers that are not services (Viewpoints and Points of Interest) that have been selected to be visible on this page in the map markers editor.
You can choose if you want this grid to be symmetrical (all images the same size) or not.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Clicking on Services around takes us to another grid, showing us the different points of service represented by map markers on the map page. Clicking on any one of these images will take you to a separate page with text about this particular place, opening hours, etc. See more about map markers here.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Next we have the Website menu item, in this case called Visit Vestmannaeyjar. Clicking on this takes us to the chosen website without exiting the app.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Clicking on About the app takes us to a simple about the app page. This page template can be customised.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
At the bottom of the menu, we have the Redeem invitation item. This menu item is only needed if some tours or games in the app are available with invitation codes only.
