Google Play and the Apple App Store require a video demonstrating why your app needs foreground location permission. The video must show your app in action and demonstrate a real use case for foreground location services.
Please create a short video explaining and demonstrating how foreground location permission is used in your app. You can use the example video below as a guide.
For your video, please use the same use case as the example:
- Create a project with at least two outdoor location points set to automatic activation.
- Show the project introduction page and briefly explain the use case.
- Start the project and show the next location point.
- Lock the screen while walking toward the location.
- Show the notification that appears when the location is reached.
- Unlock the screen, open the notification/location point, and show the content that has been unlocked.
- Briefly explain why your app uses foreground location services.
Suggested script
You can follow this script for your video:
Hello, I'm going to use this game to demonstrate how the foreground location service is used. This service allows the app to detect when I reach a location while my screen is locked. When I reach the treasure location, it will trigger and I will receive a notification.
I'm now starting the game, and here is my next treasure location. I'm going to walk over there, but first I'm going to lock the screen. I should receive a notification when I reach the location.
I'm now walking outside with my screen locked and approaching the treasure location.
There we have it, Treasure Found, (Location name). I can click on the notification to open the treasure page that I have now unlocked, where I can access the challenges.
This is the reason why we are using the foreground location service. Thank you!

Once your video is ready, upload it to a cloud storage service such as Dropbox, Google Drive, or OneDrive, and paste the shareable link in the allocated CMS field.
Important: The video must remain accessible via the provided link. We will use this link when submitting your app to Google Play and the Apple App Store.
