The placement of your menu depends on which user interface front page template you choose for your app. If you've chosen the Tiles or Menu template, the menu items will be visible on the front page, if you've chosen the Map, List or Slider template, the menu items will be accessible via a hamburger menu in the top left corner of the front page.
We offer the following types of menu items, that can be created and edited at any time from the CMS:
- Map: Showing game/tour start locations & map markers (optional points of interest)
- Tours/Games: List or grid with games and/or tours that can be segmented using optional customizable categories.
- Services: Grid page with info points (points of interest like restaurants, hotels, etc.), can be segmented with categories and subcategories
- External URL: Button that links to an external website
- Page: Choose from two default templates or create a custom one. The default templates let you add simple content, app rating, image sliders, accordions, opening hours, and URL links. With a custom template, you can build the content fields yourself or provide a mockup for the Locatify Team to create (charged at an hourly rate).
- Redeem code: Redeems invitation codes or vouchers for tours and games
- Review App: Links to App Store and Play Store
- Leaderboard: View the overall player rankings and results from games played.
- Delete Content: If you want to enable users to delete all content they've downloaded in the app
- Logout: For apps that allow their users to log in (optional)
Now let's take a look at where you can manage these menu items. Sign in to your Locatify Builder account and navigate to your App dashboard (under App Setup<your App<Main Menu). There you can manage the menu items, icons, label text, and hide or delete menu items.
To add new menu items, go on to the tab Main Menu Page and click on New Menu Item.
To update the icon, simply click on it and use the media manager to select another one. To edit the label text, click on the field and add your text.
Click on Publish menu to make them visible in your app.
