Please note: This test mode is set up so that you do not need to be on location to test the content of your project. This means that you will be able to manually activate your pins during the test. Once your project is published (given that the Map & Location settings are set to Automatic content activation), the pins and their content will only be unlocked by your users or players physically being in range of the treasure or point. If you want the points to stay manually unlockable (we call this a virtual project), before publishing your project, you will need to select "Manual activation by pressing on the pin on the map" in the Map & Location settings.
When you’re ready to test your project, select the Go Live button on the bottom of the left side panel in the CMS Builder. The same process applies even if your project is a game or a tour.
Now click on Test on device.
Keep in mind that a test project can only be used once, so if you need to test the project on multiple devices, you will need to republish it for testing again.
Then click on Generate Test, then Create Test Version
Download the Locatify SmartGuide app (if your project is a tour) or TurfHunt app (if your project is a game) to your mobile device from the App Store or Play Store if you haven’t already. Select Create Test version.
From within the app, you can redeem your test project with either the QR code or the invitation code displayed.
When you’re done with testing and ready to publish, select Publish to app on the left. Select the app for publishing (SmartGuide for tours, TurfHunt for games) and when you’re ready, press Publish.
