3. Web App Project Types
There are three ways to start a project in the Locatify Builder:
- Blank Project – Start from scratch and customize every detail to fit your needs.
- From Template – Choose from our ready-made templates for a quick setup or inspiration.
- From File – Upload an existing Locatify project to continue where you left off or make changes.
A. Blank Project – Start from Scratch
Build a fully customized project tailored to your goals.
You can start in two ways:
-
From the homepage, click Blank Project in the center.
-
Or, use the left-side menu: click the + icon, select New Project, then choose Blank Project.
B. Project Wizard
You’re now in the Project Wizard. Simply follow the steps and click through to set up your project.
Step 1: Select the Project Type
Choose the type of project you want to create. Each option includes icons in the top-right corner, indicating which app types are supported.
Tip: For web app projects, look for the small web icon
Note: We do not support gaming features for now in the web app, so start by clicking on “Audio Guide tour” to continue.
Step 2: Choose the Project Format.
- With a basic subscription, you can create a straightforward single audio track, allowing direct access to the tour without going through the branded app interface page.
-
With a standard or advanced subscription, you'll have full access to create all three types of projects: - Outdoor Tour with Map – A location-based tour where content is triggered by GPS.
- Smart List View (List of Points) – A flexible list-style format suitable for both indoor and outdoor experiences.
- Single Audio Track – A simple format that plays a continuous audio guide without requiring navigation.
Step 3: Activation Method
This step will only appear if you selected “Outdoor Map” as your project format.
The activation method defines how your location points are triggered during the tour.
- For Outdoor Maps, content can be triggered: Automatically via GPS, or Manually, by tapping on the screen.
- For Single Audio Track and Smart List View, content is triggered manually by default.
Choose the option that best suits your experience, then click Next to continue.
Step 4: Select Settings
Optionally, you can add additional languages to your project.
Note: You'll need to provide your own translations for each selected language.
Next, enter a name for your project.
Tip: You can always update the title, activation method, languages, and other settings later if needed.
C. List of Projects
Once your different types of projects are created, you can view them in the audio guide list as shown in this example.
a) M: MAP stands for Outdoor Map
b) L: LIST stands for Smart List View
c) A: AUDIO stands for Single Audio Track

If you’ve chosen 'Access via invitation code only,' users will need to enter the voucher code in the 'Redeem' button to access the private tour, it is located in the main menu page in the web app.
*Note: Those QR codes are for demonstration purpose only
b) Second QR Code: Bypass the menu and access the tour directly.
The second QR provides the access to the tour directly bypassing the web app menu interface.
