When a challenge is assigned to a point, do players have to be within the activation radius to respond to the challenge or can they scroll around the map, click on each point and answer the challenges without physically going to that location?
There are three modes of point activation for an outdoor-based game:
- Default GPS Activation: Points are activated by GPS, meaning users must be in a specific location to access each point’s content or challenge. This mode promotes real-world exploration and ensures players physically visit each point.
- Mixed Activation: In this setting, some points can be opened just by tapping them on the map, regardless of the user’s physical location, while others require the user to be nearby (using GPS). This setup offers flexibility, allowing certain key points to be more easily accessible while keeping others tied to their physical location.
- Virtual Game Mode: This option removes the GPS requirement entirely, allowing users to access points by either tapping pins on the map or selecting them from a list. It’s ideal for a fully virtual experience, where physical location isn’t required, making it accessible for remote players.
These options allow you to tailor gameplay based on the level of physical interaction you want players to have with the real world, accommodating different types of experiences from outdoor exploration to fully virtual interactions.
